Lewis County is located in the Northern Kentucky River Region, about 90 miles northeast of Lexington, 70 miles southeast of Cincinnati, OH and less than 50 miles west of Huntington, WV.  Founded in 1806, Lewis County is named for Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark expedition.
